HISTORY

The Hellenic American Academy is a small private elementary school with a big history. Opened in 1908 by Greek immigrants, it was the first Greek Orthodox day school in the United States with the goal of proving the highest quality education enriched with the teaching of the Greek language, history and culture.

ACADEMICS

The Hellenic American Academy offers a half and full day Preschool Program and a full day Kindergarten that is designed to develop children at their individual progression. Grades 1 through 6 feature a curriculum within the Massachusetts required Curriculum Framework with emphasis on reading and language arts, mathematics, science, geography, social studies, computers, music, physical education, art and the enrichment of a second language, Greek.

THE GREEK LANGUAGE
The Greek language is one of the oldest written languages in the world. The Greek culture was the cradle of Western civilization. The Greeks have greatly influenced language, science, philosophy, sports, fine arts, politics and theology.

  • Families with more than one student attending the school receive a discount. Please refer to the chart above.
  • A discount of $300.00 is given to members of the Holy Trinity Hellenic Orthodox Church if they are in good standing with the church.


NON REFUNDABLE FEES

The following are non-refundable fees and must be paid at the time of registration :
  • Registration Fee                 $85.00
  • Book Fee                            $135.00
  • Library / Technology Fee      $60.00


LATE PAYMENT
Payments received 10 days after the due date will incur a $25.00 late fee.
